Well, it's not hard to guess what we've been up to lately... a whole lot of cleaning, packing, taping, unpacking, cleaning, organizing, arranging, rearranging, settling. It's been a big adjustment for us even though we only moved a mile away. I used to think I had a transient personality, that I didn't like to stay put very long. It was a ruse. Probably something I told myself because I knew we had a lot more moves ahead of us. But I miss stable. I miss knowing the personality behind the "hi" from your neighbor. I hate white walls. Hopefully we only have one more move ahead of us... not likely. Forgive my rant, I really do like our new place, we all do. ESPECIALLY Aiden! It's hilarious to hear his new prepositional suffix to every sentence:

"can I have a bagel in our new duplex?"
"I have to pee in our new duplex."
"are we going home to our new duplex?"
ME: "Aiden it's time for a nap"
AIDEN" "In my new duplex?"

So here's the pictures for you out-of-towners who will probably never see it in person. I spared you the view of our bedroom... picture a bed.... that's pretty much it... I know it looks small from the pictures, but we really have a lot more room than we did (much to our surprise).













By way of an update, Halloween was lots of mildly traumatic fun for Aiden. He fared well, screaming "TRICK OR TREAT" at unsuspecting old people who leaned in close to tell him what a cute dinosaur he was. There were only two houses he refused to go to, that was low from what I expected. Also, Aiden has recently started telling us when he has to pee, it's miraculous and life-affirming. And finally, We will hopefully be purchasing a new couch soon; as we discovered after moving ours, that it has a loose spring which has the ability to skewer through perfectly sound sheet rock.
