in an effort to make aiden stop asking, "mom, is today a good day to go to a bee's game?" (insert rob lowe's voice here:) li-trully every time we drive anywhere for anything, because dang, those bees like to advertise...
we set a date and procured us some tickets.  we left nora in good hands (she hates grass, didn't want to upset her for no reason),
fueled up at sonic, and sucked it up and paid $6 for parking-cause lowe's had the security cop out and he meant business.

through all this, aiden power-napped in the back seat--probably dreaming of something fairly inconsequential... he often asks me throughout our day, "mom, is this a dream?" which leads me to believe that his dreams are just not that interesting.

scott forgot his hat. and sunglasses. so he wandered off to look for some bee's memorabilia, you know, something with a brim?  he came back 10 minutes later all glum, cause when a cup of shaved ice is $6 at the bee's game, how much do you suppose a hat is?  it was at this time that aiden heard about the $6 ice and decided it sounded like it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to get a frozen drink as the sun set and the temperature dropped to the mid fifties.

so we went and got one.

but not before we walked three-quarters of the way around the stadium and realized we had no cash.  so we found and ATM, or rather, turned around and saw 3 within spitting distance, waited for 25 minutes to access our monies, and effectively paid $9.50 for an icee after bank fees.  i don't want to be critical of the bee's, because i know they have some pretty steep advertising costs,
but that's like a 9000% markup.

and that's not even all i bought!

no, no, i found a reasonably-priced hat to woo my husband, and a foam finger to woo my aiden.  but, by the time we got back to scott the sun had basically set and all that was left to do was watch our beloved bees lose.  we headed up to the stands for the fireworks and I enjoyed watching aiden as much as the show.

he is one enjoyable kid, well worth the expenses we accrue for his entertainment.

 coming soon:
aiden gets new glasses.  get excited.

Als,

you seriously are one of my favorite people ever, and you write everything so well that I hang on every word of every single one of your posts! I miss you, but love reading what you're up to.

And don't worry...soon Nora will want a $6 ice too, and won't mind the grass so much. :)

Hugs!

I LOVE reading your posts! They are always so funny. Looks like you guys had plenty of fun at the Bees game. We miss you guys! Aubrey is going to be coming up there in a week with her kids to stay with Eric for the last month he is there so I'm sure Kadyn will be sending another gift Aiden's way. :-) Can't wait to see pics of Aiden's new glasses.
