Well, I just didn't have my act together enough to post these pictures even relatively close to Aiden's actual birthday which was on the 1st. But it was rambunctious, black lit, high caloric fun and I'm so glad Steph talked us into taking Aiden bowling for his party adventure. I never would have thought of it but he loved it! Aiden kicked my trash score-wise; but I had the satisfaction of knowing that I earned my skimpy 38 points without the benefit of bumpers or a bowling ramp.
We moved on to the arcade, replacing our heavy golden coins for pink paper tickets. Strangely satisfying, I have to say.
Aiden's fav was a game where you drop the coin in the slot in hopes of it landing on one of the encased trucks. He scored big-time, but the odds were always in his favor with as many times as he played. It was bitter-sweet when he realized he wasn't walking away with the trucks in the plexi-glass.
Stephy made Aiden a much-requested Thomas cake which was a delight to one and all. I cleaned off the Thomas cake-topper so Aiden could play with it. He then drove it across the entirety of the living room floor and replaced it on the cake.
I feel like this is as good a time as any to thank my lucky stars for such a bright, happy child. There aren't words articulate enough to describe what I think of his sincere little questions, his sometimes poignant quotations, and his quick retorts. We're spoiled every day we get to be with him.

Happy Birthday Aiden!
Congrats! Happy Birthday Aiden!
Al, let's plan on the 18th if you guys are still up for it!
Come on Ali, a score of 38. You should be able to do that blindfolded and unlike me you are way down close to the floor.JK
