You can stil read the following ridiculousness, but on a side note, My BFF informed me that I actually am 28 and upon further reveiw of the math, I think she's right. But in Scott's defense, he really thought I was 29, he wasn't just screwing with me.

Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes via text, facebook, email, and phone. It was a mostly lovely weekend. I'd been mentally straining myself for the last couple days (you know, trying to do the math), anticipating people asking me how old I was turning... and the number I settled on was 28. I even remember thinking, "hmm, that's funny, Scott'll be 30 this year, I thought we were closer in age than that..."
So Scott on Sunday, being all cute and cliche, asked me if I felt any older, to which I replied:

"nah, I've got two more years till 30, I'm ok"

scott: "what'd'ya mean? You're 29."

me: (in my best snarkastic voice) "super funny! I'm not falling for that AGAIN this year"

scott: "i'm not teasing you, do the math"

really long pause...

me: "DANG IT!"

And now I do feel older.

That's too funny. I can never remember my age either...and I love Emperor's New Groove (if that is what you were referring to in your title :) )

you nailed it Jess! But then I had to change it, cause I'm a moron.

Hahaha. You aren't a moron. You're just not obsessed with your age. That's a good thing :)

How sad is it that none of us can do basic math anymore! I have the same problem :-) I'm waiting for my kids to get into school and need help with their homework so I can relearn it :-)

That's really funny.
In my head I'm still 23 - I'm always surprised when I realize I'm not...
