Today we played legos, mine was a half-hearted effort at best... perhaps if I'd grown up with them, not just stepping on them, I'd have a bit more enthusiasm.

Aiden was pleased with my robot, though

He had a fabulous name for this little gem, a testament to how we must write things down, because now I can't remember it.  sad face.

and after I made this contraption, Aiden declared:
"you're the BEST GIRL EVER, mom!"
"Thanks bud!"
...
"I was talking to myself."

Sadly, a conversation we have A LOT...

On the way home from school the other day:
"I love you, mom"
"I love you too, Aiden"
"uh, I was talking to myself"

Here's a couple randoms to round out the day:

my little sugar bum

and the view from my computer desk, amazing for so many reasons.
Shall I list them?
Alphabetically?

Aiden getting fresh air
beautiful foliage
chilly, but not cold
dad's home early
end of the work week

the end.
