whoa, long weekend! Scott and I left for Gunnison on Wednesday night and got everything ready at his parent's house to go camping up Mayfield Canyon the next day. We had a great time riding, fishing, boating, off-roading, sitting and swatting. There were ridiculous numbers of mosquitoes and I was hesitant to put bug spray on Aiden's face so he now has bites all down the sides of his sun-burned face; insult, injury, Aiden. Sorry bud.

The boys went digging for worms in anticipation of going fishing, this was Aiden's favorite part.

Throwing rocks in the water was his second favorite part of fishing. At no point did actual fishing seem to be as intriguing.

We took out Scott's parent's paddle boat for about 7 minutes, mostly just to say we did it, but it was fun. I don't know if Aiden could fully appreciate the adventure sans nap.

Not to be confused with Aiden's squinty-eye, this was an intentional dirty look. The next Bear Grylls, Aiden Vs. Wild.

Notice the first real smile from Aiden brought on by a ride on Dad's bike, figures!

We put Aiden to bed and Scott's mom looked after him while Scott and I drove an hour over steep rocks to get to his favorite fishing spot-Scott occasionally pointing out spots along the way where he and his brother nearly slid off the mountain in previous years. It was fun but a little bit long for me, what fishing trip wouldn't be, though?

We got back from camping Saturday in time to go see Scott's family in the Manti Pageant that night. Don't let the pictures deceive you, Aiden fell asleep after the first 10 minutes and I was very grateful-after two years trying, we finally got to see the pageant the whole way through.

We ended up staying in Gunnison an extra day when Scott got sick, so Aiden got some much-needed cousin time!
