So the squinty-eye that I thought was just part of my son's repertoire of dirty looks turned into a much bigger deal when we noticed this last week that the eye he's always closing was starting to cross every so often. We took him up to Primary Children's today to see their pediatric ophthalmologist and the doctor confirmed that he needs some correction. I was glad when he told us that we had brought him in early enough that they didn't need to patch his eye. We headed over to Costco to pick out some glasses and quickly discovered that they don't have a wide selection for kiddies 3 and under. We decided on some cute ones (not that it would have mattered because they were the only ones small enough) and I'll post pictures just as soon as they come in next week.
I asked the doctor before we left his office if he had any tricks to make a kid keep his glasses on and he said, "pray!"
Prayer, duct tape, we're willing to explore options.

Use the duct tape for his arms. That should help! :)

I'm glad for your sake he doesn't have to wear an eye patch. I can't imagine glasses would be any easier to keep on though :-) How long will he have to wear them and what do the glasses do?

He's such a cutie I can hardly stand it. I'm sure glasses will only add to that! LOL and I'm sure duct tape would be effective! I love that the doc said prayer though- that's what my OB said when I asked about getting Austin to come by Christmas. Prayer. (and it worked!) That's one thing I love about Utah.
