Scott had Monday off work so we decided to hit up the Museum of Natural History for a free, slightly air-conditioned, highly-crowded educational experience. Aiden actually liked the museum so much that he didn't try to play with the stroller the entire time! High praise.
We got to see frogs...
sit on frogs (actually this scared the snot out of Aiden so I had to hold him over it)...
and talk to frogs on the phone.
Then it was on to the dinosaur bones and the "archaeological dig." Aiden wasn't in the rocks 4 seconds before he was asking for his dump truck to put in. So I learned at the museum that rocks (just like beans) cannot be properly played with unless there's a small toy in which to lodge the little suckers!
Scott and Aiden had fun playing with the dinosaur puzzle; Scott put pieces together, Aiden took them apart, Scott put them back together again... they have a symbiotic relationship.
These are the stools Aiden played with for 15 minutes until we were forced to move on, and by we I mean he.
Here's a bit of interest, the giant cartoon-like frog with no visible teeth and the catchphrase "come on, how bout a kiss," elicited from Aiden the desire to run from the room; however, to the velociraptor that looks like it's straight from the set of Jurassic Park, he says, "did I want to touch it?" and so he did.

that looks like a fun place to play! we just recently went the the museum of natural history in dc and saw a fantastically disgusting bug exhibit. i wanted to throw up by the time we were done, but sean kept saying, "just five more minutes!!!" i like that aiden was scared of the toothless dino, but fascinated with the raptor :) he looks so big in these pictures!
I am so glad you posted these. (cute pics by the way). I was wondering if the museum would be something HUnter would like...now I think we will HAVE to try it out :)
What a fun time! I once had a frog pee on me and my grandmommy told me I was going to get warts! I was not happy about that but those frogs looked pretty fun!
